Tencent PC Manager

Just by looking at the name, I was tempted to think that Tencent PC Manager is a file management tool. Whatever the name may have you thinking, you need to know that this is a security solution that will protect you against viruses and Trojans.

Tencent PC Manager uses multiple antivirus engines to make sure that your PC and your data remain safe and protected. The following antivirus engines:
Cloud protection engine – able to identity new viruses and Trojans.
Antivirus engine II – efficiently detects viruses.
Avira local antivirus engine – Avira’s award-winning antivirus engine.
System repair engine – fixes problems caused by viruses and Trojans.

The Autorun function is enabled by default. This means that Tencent PC Manager will launch at startup.
The Self-defense function is enabled by default as well. This feature is meant to protect against Trojan attacks.
Tencent PC Manager provides real-time protection against viruses. Two protection modes are available: Expert and Common Mode (the latter is enabled by default).

You can run on-demand scans and see if there are any problems with your PC. Three types of scans are available: Quick, Custom and Full Scan. By performing a Quick Scan on my PC, Tencent PC Manager found a problem with Internet Explorer and quickly repaired it.
